Having started his career within the hustle and bustle of Bournemouth’s night clubs, Alastair quickly worked his way up the career ladder. After a successful 4 years’ of managing some of Bournemouth’s most popular venues he was keen to make a change of direction whilst keeping a focus on the industry he loved, hospitality. Alastair joined the Platinum family in 2017 within our Pubs and Bars division and brings with him a wealth of knowledge and understanding of what it takes to succeed in this busy and vibrant side of the industry.

Social

Coming from a large family, at the weekend I’m usually being roped into a competitive game of tennis with my brothers (being the best in the family, I am unable to resist giving them a good beating). Besides retaining my title as the “Crawford Family Tennis Champion”, I also love travelling to different parts of the world, whether that’s in the mountains skiing or sat around the pool with a gin and tonic. Lastly but certainly not least, my better half and I have a passion for good food and love visiting new bars and restaurants.

During my time managing a local restaurant, I got to see first hand how Platinum conduct themselves. After helping me with numerous events and seeing their professionalism first hand I relished the opportunity to work within their team. Hearing all about the support and guidance that Platinum has given to employees, I knew this would be a company who could push me to be the best I can be.
